How to turn receipt photos into one PDF
Photograph receipts clearly, arrange and enhance the images, and create one organised PDF for expenses or record keeping.
Capture receipts before they fade
Thermal receipt printing can become faint over time, so photograph important receipts promptly. Place each receipt on a dark, matte surface and use soft, even lighting. Avoid flash glare and make sure totals, dates and merchant details are in focus.
Long receipts may require more than one photograph. Include a small overlap between sections so reviewers can see that nothing is missing.
Choose a useful sequence

Crop and enhance carefully

Coloured marks, handwritten notes and validation stamps may disappear under aggressive enhancement. Use original-photo mode for any page where colour contributes evidence.
Export, name and retain
A4 pages with small margins are convenient for printing and expense systems. Use a descriptive filename such as the claim period and your reference number, but avoid unnecessary personal or payment information.
Open the PDF and verify every total before submission. Keep the original photographs until the claim or accounting process is complete. OCR can create searchable text, but recognised financial figures must be checked manually.
